Vision

Mission

At Global Aviation Services, we deliver expert aircraft maintenance, management, and reliable AOG support—dedicated to keeping your aircraft flight-ready with the highest standards of care.

In the early mornings, as the first rays of sunlight pierce through the hangar doors, you’ll find our team already at work, each step measured, each action precise. This is where the journey begins for Global Aviation Services. It’s where our commitment to you plays out every day by keeping aircraft safe, airworthy, and always ready for flight.

“When you’re working with aircraft, there’s no room for error,” reflects Corey Rose, VP of Maintenance. “Every bolt, every wire—it all has to be perfect. That’s what our clients expect, and that’s what we deliver.”

Global Aviation Services started humbly in Halifax, with a small team and an ambitious goal: to set the gold standard for aircraft maintenance. Co-Owner Steve Christiansen remembers the early days vividly. “We didn’t have the resources we do now, but what we did have was determination. We knew that if we focused on precision and trust, we could build something extraordinary.”

And extraordinary it has become. From its roots in Halifax, Global Aviation Services has grown into a network of bases spanning Canada, from Atlantic shores to the prairies of the west and the Pacific coast. With each expansion, one core belief has remained: precision and trust are everything. Backed by a team of highly skilled professionals and certifications from Transport Canada, EASA, UKCAA, and FAA, we ensure that every aircraft under our care is serviced to the highest global standards.

That belief is what’s fueling the next big chapter. Just recently, we broke ground on a brand-new hangar—a space designed to take Global Aviation Services into the future. Co-Owner Doug Puttkemery shares his vision: “This hangar isn’t just about space; it’s about opportunity. It’s a reflection of how far we’ve come and how much further we’re going to go.”

Breaking ground on the future—an aerial view of our new hangar construction site, where vision meets action. This is more than expansion; it’s a commitment to innovation, growth, and delivering even more for our clients across the skies.

Doug Puttkemery, Corey Rose , and Steve Christiansen have shaped Global Aviation Services into what it is today. Together, with the Global Aviation team they’re leading the charge into the next chapter, breaking new ground (literally) with the vision, passion, and precision that define everything we do.

The construction site buzzes with activity as land is cleared and foundations are set. The photos tell a story of progress, but for the team, it’s deeply personal. “We started with a handful of tools and a lot of grit,” says Steve. “To stand here today, seeing this project come to life, it’s a moment of pride for all of us.”

Whether servicing corporate jets or commercial aircraft, Global’s mission remains clear: ensure every aircraft under our care is flight-ready. This new hangar represents more than growth—it’s a promise to our clients, from Air Transat to Condor Airlines, to always be there, ready to deliver.

“Having the knowledgeable team at Global Aviation taking care of my aircraft gives me great peace of mind!” says Debbie Brekelmans, Operations Manager and Chief Pilot at Sable Aviation. “From scheduled inspections to AOG, Corey and his team are committed to safe and on-time service..

Aircraft maintenance has always been more than a job at Global Aviation—it’s a promise. A promise to keep schedules running, passengers safe, and planes in the air. And when an aircraft is on the ground, the stakes are higher than ever.

“The thing about AOG situations is that it’s all hands on deck,” Corey adds. “When we get that call, we know what’s at stake. We get them back in the air as fast as possible, without ever compromising on safety.”

At the heart of it all is the team. Engineers, technicians, and support staff work in harmony, upholding the highest standards. Together, they’ve created a culture of excellence, one that’s grounded in precision and built on trust.

And now, as the new hangar begins to take shape, that culture only grows stronger. “This isn’t just about building a facility,” Doug says. “It’s about building our future.”
