At Global Aviation Services, precision isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the gold standard that we live by. From the moment a call comes in, especially an AOG (Aircraft on Ground), everything shifts into high gear. It’s in those moments that I’m reminded of why I’m so proud to lead this team. We don’t just repair aircraft; we make sure they’re ready to get back into the air, and we do it with unmatched dedication.
A while back, we got a call that an aircraft was grounded and needed immediate attention. It was one of those moments where you feel the weight of the situation. But before I even reached for my phone, I knew the team would be on it—focused and ready. There’s a quiet confidence in knowing you have the right people around you.
Marlene Beaton, our Office Manager, is one of those people. She’s the backbone of our operations, ensuring everything is meticulously logged, checked, and ready for our engineers to step in seamlessly. And then there’s Nick O’Connor, our Production Manager, who has an uncanny ability to see the big picture while keeping an eye on the smallest parts. His strategic mind turns potential chaos into a well-orchestrated effort.
Crystal Robinson and Corey Rose strategize the next steps while Jonah Leschied dives right in, wasting no time inspecting the engine. On every AOG call, this is how the team operates—focused, synchronized, and unwavering. It’s not just about solving a problem; it’s about earning trust through every action, every second, and every flight that takes off safely again. This is the heartbeat of Global Aviation’s AOG response in motion.
When it comes to ensuring every detail meets the highest standards, Marc Swanson, our Quality Assurance Manager, is the go-to. His watchful eye and commitment to quality mean that nothing leaves our hands without his seal of approval. Knowing Marc is there adds a layer of confidence that I can’t overstate.
On that day, Matt Ryan, Crystal Robinson, and Jonah Leschied were already in motion. These three Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) know their crafts inside and out. They work with the kind of unspoken coordination that only comes from years of experience. I believe that every second counts because those seconds build trust, and it’s in moments like these that this mantra proves itself true.
Richard Ryder, our Base Manager, often reminds the team that “trust is earned in the toughest moments,” and he’s right. I watched as Andrew Stokes, our apprentice, absorbed every move, eager to learn and contribute. And then there’s Crystal Robinson, whose keen eye catches even the smallest detail—her focus is what makes good work great.
By the end of that day, as the aircraft rolled onto the runway, there was a sense of shared pride. It’s not just about fixing the issue; it’s about knowing that someone on that flight is counting on us without even realizing it. And that’s why we love what we do.
At Global Aviation, our commitment to excellence is backed by certifications from Transport Canada, EASA, UKCAA, and FAA. These accreditations aren’t just badges; they’re a testament to the rigorous standards we uphold every day, ensuring that every aircraft serviced by our team meets and exceeds the highest safety and quality benchmarks in the industry.
This team—my team—lives for these moments. We show up, not because we have to, but because we want to. We’re here for each other and for the people who trust us to keep them safe. At Global Aviation, every second truly counts, and it’s the people behind those seconds that make all the difference.
